On December 11, 2017, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, at the initiative of the Turkish side.
According to the Press service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, at the beginning of the conversation the President of Turkey sincerely congratulated the Head of our state on the practical results achieved in implementing the new stage of structural and socio-economic reforms in the country over the past year.
The President of Uzbekistan expressed deep gratitude for the high assessment of the policy implemented in the country, aimed at ensuring sustainable and qualitative development in all spheres of life of the state and society.
During the conversation, the heads of states emphasized the importance of practical implementation of agreements reached on the results of the high-level visit to the Republic of Turkey in October this year.
The need of continuing effective interaction in order to promote joint programs and projects of cooperation in trade-economic, technological, financial-investment, transport spheres, as well as in tourism and culture was emphasized.
The Presidents also exchanged views on the agenda of the extraordinary summit of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation in the city of Istanbul, as well as on other current issues of international and regional policy.
On December 13-14, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov will pay an official visit to our country at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
According to the Press service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during the meetings and negotiations at the highest level, it is planned to discuss the state and prospects of further development of interstate relations in political, trade-economic, transport-communication, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres, issues of cross-border cooperation, regional and international problems.
Following the visit, it is expected to adopt a Joint Statement of the heads of states, to sign a package of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents aimed at further strengthening and expanding bilateral relations in various fields.
The parties intend to develop a long-term cooperation strategy for increasing sales and occupying a dominant share in the automotive market of Kazakhstan.
In the course of the partnership, it is planned to modernize the technical base of the enterprises of the automobile industry in Kazakhstan. In addition, the search will be carried out for buyers of products of Uzavtosanoat enterprises – cars and trucks, buses, mounted and trailed equipment.
“The Memorandum provides for carrying out trade, trade and intermediary, commodity exchange operations, including export-import operations, development and implementation of joint projects, exchange of information and provision of services. The parties will also consider the possibility of expanding the model range of products for the Kazakhstan market,” Uzavtosanoat said.
According to the Uzbek side, the partners, depending on the market situation, their capabilities and other factors, will jointly consider issues of increasing production volumes, as well as increasing the range of products in Kazakhstan.
To achieve these goals, Uzavtosanoat believes, the parties have all the necessary resources, including a developed infrastructure for service and technical support, many years of experience in the production and maintenance of vehicles, the right to technical and design documentation, the ability to supply kits for further organization of assembly.
It should be noted that today in Kazakhstan at the capacities created by Uzavtosanoat together with the Kazakhstan enterprise Saryarka Avtoprom, over
1 thousand of Ravon cars have been manufactured. Next year it is planned to reach the mark of 7 thousand cars a year.
Now GM Uzbekistan produces ten car brands: four sedans – Nexia, Cobalt, Gentra and Malibu, two subcompacts – Matiz and Spark, Captiva SUV, Orlando minivan, Damas minivan and Labo microvan. Inside the republic, passenger cars of domestic production are known under the Chevrolet brand. For export, GM Uzbekistan products are sent under the Ravon trademark.

At the 11th World Kurash Championship held in the Turkish city of Istanbul, wrestlers from 50 countries competed in 15 weight classes
At the contest the Uzbek national team members earned 10 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals.
Upholding the honor of our country in the weight category of 78 kilograms, Kumush Yuldosheva in the final duel defeated Alexandra Vlasova from Russia and secured the title of world champion.
Also the first positions went to athletes among our compatriots Dildor Shermatova, Mohinur Muminova, Gulnor Sulaimonova, Rahima Yuldosheva, Kamoliddin Rasulov, Shuhratjon Arslonov, Mukhsin Khisomiddinov, Shahram Ahadov and Davlat Abraev.
Silver medals were won by Ilhom Juraev, Mukhriddin Kurbonov, Malohat Ruziyeva, Oisuluv Abdumajidova, Omongul Allanazarova, Mohinur Pirnazarova.
Bronze medals of the championship went to such talented sportswomen as Gulmira Ismatova, Gavhar Khudoykulova, Maftuna Esonova, Rinata Ilmatova, Begam Boyimova.
The XVII Congress of the International Kurash Association took place in the framework of the World Championship. At the event, leaders of the kurash confederations of Africa, Asia and Oceania, Europe and America presented reports on reforms implemented to further popularize this sport, holding competitions at a high level. The federations of France, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Sri Lanka have been admitted to the International Kurash Association.
